ABOUT RONALD "FLIP" MURRAY

An inspiration to his peers and many who have followed after him, Ronald "Flip" Murray is Philadelphia's own basketball legend. Growing up in the tough streets of North Philadelphia, Murray began wowing his teammates and spectators with his basketball skills at Strawberry Mansion High. After going through community college, Murray went on to play with Shaw University, in North Carolina, where he made huge impact. In his senior year, he won National MVP award of all DII Colleges and was awarded with the title NABC Division II Player of the Year in 2002. He was 46th pick in the subsequent NBA draft.

Murray went on to play a successful 8 years in the NBA for Seattle Sonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Bobcats, and the Chicago Bulls. He was also the NBA D-League champion in 2012.

In Philadelphia, Flip Murray is otherwise referred to as "The GOAT".

About the Pro-Am: #TeamFlipMurray

Flip Murray Pro-Am was a traveling team of Flip's choice, consisting of top professional and amateur players, which visited and competed against All-Star teams at Summer Pro-Am Leagues on the East Coast including the renowned Goodman League in Washington D.C.

This was a great idea, with great matches, friendships and business relationships established.
